The program of the tour:
Day 1: Bishkek - Chon Kemin valley
Our guide-interpreter will meet you at Manas Airport and accompany you to the Bishkek city (30 min. drive), where you will have breakfast firstly. This day you will spend walking around our capital. Lunch is included. The tour includes the visiting of the central Ala-Too Square, Duboviy Park (Oak Park), Pobeda Square (Victory Square), the Historical Museum, National philharmonic, eastern Bazaar, Art Gallery and many others places of interest. Then you will be transferred to the Chon Kemin valley in the Kalmak-Ashuu Guesthouse, where you also will spend the night. On the way, we will visit the Burana Tower (minaret of the 11 century) and its attached open air museum of Balbans (stone warriors). Time for dinner is 7 p.m.
Day 2: Chon Kemin valley - Tamga
Time for breakfast is 7 a.m afterwards, you will start your trip to Tamga (380 km, 6h) by car. We will drive along the southern coast of the celestial Issyk-Kul Lake, which is second largest mountain lake in the world (1608 meters above sea level). The Lake is also known as "the pearl of Central Asia". Dinner will be served in the Tamga Guesthouse, where you will also spend the night.
Day 3: Tamga - Jukku gorge - pass Jukku
After nutritious breakfast we leave the Guesthouse at 8 a.m by car that brings us to the entrance of the gorge Jukka. From there we will hike through the gorge until we arrive at the foot of the pass Jukka. Lunch is on the way. Jukku is the place of Kyrgyz nomadic herders. You will meet real nomads who still live in yurts and to try national drink Kumis (alcohol mare's milk). Time for dinner is 7 p.m. in the open After dinner overnight are in tents.
Day 4: Pass Jukku - Ak Shirak
Time for breakfast is 7 a.m. After the hiking over the pass Jukku is lunch. Then you will continue your hiking along the Silk Road (7hours) inside the Ak Shirak mountain range (average level is 3680m above sea level). Ak-Shirak is famous for its mountain Chokoli lakes. All of them find their origin in glaciers. There is a stunning view over the majority of these lakes. Dinner, overnight is in yurt.
Days 5-7: Syrty Ak Shirak
Syrty Ak-Shirak(3000m asl) - From Ak Shirak, it takes 3-daysof hiking along the southern side of the Terskey Ala-Too Mountains to reach the foot of Ashu-Tor glacier. (3600-4200m).During this unforgettable tour you will also see our gorgeous Ara-Belsu Lake. Ak-Shirak is the place where ancient traders were hiding from robberies. It seems that good spirits look after you there.
Dinner, overnight is in yurt.
Day 8: Gorge Ashu-Tor
After strengthening breakfast you will hike over the pass Ashu-Tor (4000m.) there you will overlook the Ashu-Tor glacier, while having a picnic. Then you will approach the Ara-Belsu Lake before starting the descent to Ashu-Tor gorge by passing through the stunning Northern Ashu-Tor valley (7 Hours, 3250m). After dinner overnight are in tents.
Day 9: Gorge Ashu-Tor - Gorge Chon-Kyzyl-Suu
After packing your backpacks, time for breakfast is 8 a.m before you start your 7 hours hike down to the Chon Kyzyl Suu valley and the old geophysics station (2650m). Lunch break is on the way. Time for dinner is 8 p.m. You will spend the night in yurts as nomads always did. A yurt is made of felt and wooden frame without a single nail. It is a collapsible dwelling of nomads. It takes only 1-2 hours to assemble and to disassemble, respectively.
Day 10: Gorge Chon-Kyzyl-Suu - Bishkek
Time for breakfast is 8 a.m. In the morning, we'll guide you down to the hot mineral springs of Jeli Suu, (1 h) where you can take a bath. After taking lunch you will go to Bishkek (350km) by car along the southern coast of celestial Issyk Kul Lake (1600m.a.s.l.) via the magnificent Boom gorge. You will arrive in Bishkek at a Hotel **** at around 7 pm, where you will have time for yourself until you will be picked up at 8 pm. You will have a farewell dinner in a restaurant with a national folklore show.
Day 11: Return Journey
Your guide-interpreter will accompany you to Manas Airport according to the time of your flight.
